This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when using the AlzTap mobile application, website, and related services.
2. Important Notice
AlzTap is not a medical device, emergency service, healthcare provider, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Medication reminders and routines are supportive tools only and may fail due to device settings, connectivity issues, operating system restrictions, user error, or technical issues.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect:
• Account information (name, email, password authentication via Firebase Authentication)
• Caregiver and patient profiles
• Patient nicknames and care relationships
• Photos, videos, audio recordings, and memory content uploaded by families
• Medication schedules, routines, reminders, notes, and care preferences
• Family or caregiver notes and messaging content
• Device information and app usage analytics
• Approximate or precise location data if enabled for safety or emergency features
• Crash diagnostics and performance information

5. Storage and Security
AlzTap may use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Analytics, and related secure cloud services. We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect user information. No system is guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Caregiver Access & Sharing
Authorized caregivers may be granted access to patient-related information. Users are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent and legal authority to upload, manage, or share another person’s information.
7. Photos, Videos, and Audio Memories
Users may upload personal memories including photographs, videos, and voice recordings. By uploading content, you confirm you have the right to share such content.
8. Medication & Health Information
Medication schedules and related care information are for organizational support only. AlzTap does not guarantee reminder delivery or medical accuracy.
9. Location Information
Future optional GPS or location features may be used for patient safety, caregiver coordination, or emergency support. Users may disable permissions in device settings.
10. Analytics & Advertising
We may use analytics tools such as Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to improve the app. Future versions may include advertisements, particularly in caregiver-facing experiences. Advertising partners may collect limited technical information.
11. Beta Features
Some features may be experimental or beta and may contain bugs, downtime, or unexpected behavior.
12. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain information as long as necessary to operate services or meet legal obligations. Users may request deletion of their accounts and associated information.
13. Children’s Privacy
AlzTap is intended for caregivers, adults, and families and is not directed to children under 13 without caregiver supervision.
14. International Transfers
Data may be processed or stored outside your province or country depending on service providers.
15. Your Rights
Users may request access, correction, or deletion of information where legally permitted.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use of AlzTap means acceptance of changes.
